AT LAST WE MEET

Last weekend we attended a seminar in Toronto put on by our agency to prepare us for our trip. NO, DON'T GET EXCITED WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE YET!! We're still no closer to knowing when we will get our referral.

The seminar was quite informative. A doctor discussed what medications we should take with us (EVERYTHING WE CAN GET OUR HANDS ON!) and a new mother of twins from China talked about her experience (she was very funny).

After the seminar our travel group got together at a restaurant in Toronto. We finally got to meet most of the people that we will be travelling with. We have two couples in our group who have done this before, so that will be a great help. They are able to offer a lot of much appreciated advice. Once I get my photos developed I'll post a few here. For those of you who know me, you'll be expecting to see them around this time next year.

It was nice to meet everyone and it helped to bring back some of the excitement that we felt in the initial stages of the adoption process, although the anxiety is still there. THE WAIT is excruciating and we just keep reminding ourselves that it will all be worth it in the end and THE WAIT will be forgotten.
