Today we visited the Silk Market. It is a six floor market which sells everything knock off including sunglasses, handbags, clothes, shoes, golf clubs and jewellery. We had quite a fun day. We were told by our guide that we should offer the vendor 20% of what they ask for an item and never pay more than 50%. We bought clothes, shoes, handbags, perfume and makeup. We were there for about 2 hours and then picked up a Starbucks and headed back to the hotel. We were expecting our other group members to be arriving at the hotel shortly after us, however their flight has been delayed. They will be an hour later. Tonight we will go for a hot pot dinner. This is where you cook your own food right in front of you. Our guide recommends that we experience this before we pick up our babies as it is not very safe for children to be close to the deep fryer. We also picked up a beautiful piece of artwork for Lian's room. It is an oil painting by an art student. I have attached a photograph of it and a few photos from yesterday. We didn't take any photos today but plan to take some at dinner tonight.
